in Revenue 

Our Origin Story

In 2018, a group of powerhouse women—leaders in sales, marketing, tech, and revenue operations—looked around the room and thought, “Wow. It was tough to get here. And now that we’ve made it, why aren’t there more of us? How do we change that? And how do we make the journey easier for the women coming next?”

Those questions sparked something big. Our founders started listening to hundreds of women in revenue roles, through surveys, conversations, and personal stories. The message was loud and clear. Women wanted mentors. They wanted community, support, and resources from people who truly understood their challenges. They wanted the freedom to throw themselves into their careers with passion—and to see the financial rewards that come with it.

It all pointed to one truth: women need other women to thrive. And so, Women in Revenue was born—a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to amplifying women in roles where they’ve too often been overlooked: sales, tech, revenue operations, and the full go-to-market ecosystem. From day one, our vision has been simple but powerful: women helping women go farther, climb higher, and achieve more—together.

With early support from visionary sponsors like Tiger Global Impact Ventures, Norwest, Zendesk, and more, WIR quickly launched our flagship Mentorship Program, which today serves more than 800 women and continues to grow. From there, we expanded into a Speaker’s Program, events, a Job Board, and more—all built in direct response to what our members told us they needed most.
