Women in Revenue’s Mentorship Program is something we’re pretty darn proud of! It’s one of the most impactful ways we give back to women in revenue-generating roles. Mentoring shows women that they matter and have a supportive guide on their path to success…
Our program stands out for several reasons: (1) it’s specifically for women who drive revenue, (2) we have a dedicated platform that matches mentees with mentors, and (3) we offer three different versions of mentorship –> 1:1, Flash, and 1:few.
But this program by no means runs itself and there is a team of nine absolutely amazing women who volunteer their time to manage the platform, answer questions, coordinate content, you name it! It would not be what it is without them… Keep reading to meet four and hear why they are so passionate about what they do!

Director of Marketing Operations @ Alation
→ Flash Mentorship Lead
“Being in tech, the only constant is change. My career path has been anything but straightforward, so I know for a fact I wouldn’t be in the career I love today without my mentors. However, while I’m always eager to seek out advice, it took me a long time to realize how much goodness I can offer back to the community!
I hope more women will feel empowered to become mentors thanks to the resources at Women in Revenue. As we climb the career ladder, many of us face similar challenges, but our experiences and circumstances shape our unique perspectives. As a result, while I treasure the relationships that have spanned decades, I’ve also had life-changing “lightbulb” moments from a single interaction. I love that Women in Revenue encourages all levels of expertise, and a variety of formats – 1:1, Huddles, or one-time Flash mentorship – so that we can help each other grow in many different ways.”
Susan James
VP, Sales Operations @ Onclave Networks
→ Huddle Coordinator
“I love to see the excitement that newcomers bring to the mentorship program, their desire to learn, and what they apply as they’re being taught. It’s truly encouraging to witness the light bulbs going off around the room as women begin to see the practical application of the knowledge they acquire. I’ve also been able to make significant friendships during this process. The mentorship program at Women in Revenue provides a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth, delving deep into specific topics to extract valuable insights applicable to the workplace. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the tangible impact – numerous individuals have shared how this experience has markedly improved their effectiveness in the workplace.”
Madison Simon
Salesforce Partner Alliance Manager (Global) @ GetAccept
→ Mentorship Committee Co-Chair
“I started volunteering in the Women in Revenue Mentorship Committee in November of 2019 because I was early in a new tech sales role and felt completely misunderstood and isolated in a sales team of all men. I felt like such a black sheep and wanted to connect with a group of sales women who could enlighten me about the different approaches to selling in this technology industry. I learned a lot from the community and accelerated my career in such a short amount of time. I quickly realized that half of the value of WIR was derived from simply knowing and connecting with such quality women who supported and inspired me in my career path. I’ve been a dedicated member ever since and advocate for all people having a work life community to lean on (especially women in male-dominated industries). Witnessing the impact our mentors make in the community is a second-hand gift I didn’t anticipate until I got in and started volunteering to facilitate the group mentorship huddles.”

“Mentorship is a two-way street; as I guide others, or others guide me, I too learn and grow. Committing time to mentorship within the Women in Revenue community isn’t just a commitment to women, it’s an investment in our collective future. Through this exchange of knowledge, experience, and perspectives, both mentor and mentee are enriched, fostering a cycle of learning and empowerment that extends far beyond our community.”
Women in Revenue’s Mentorship Program has built a community of women where every member is empowered to thrive. If you’d like to be a part of a future where women in revenue are realizing their full potential, reach out to our Director of Programs, Sarah Squires, at sarah@womeninrevenue.org!
