Women in Revenue’s 7th Annual State of Women in Revenue Report reveals a familiar and urgent story: while many women in revenue roles are achieving professional success, critical barriers to equity and sustainability remain. This year’s findings, drawn from nearly 750 survey respondents across marketing, sales, customer success, and related fields, highlight three areas where immediate support and investment are needed most.
Mentorship remains essential—and elusive.
Access to mentorship declined for the second year in a row, with only 41% of respondents reporting that they currently have a mentor. For many, especially mid-career professionals and those from underrepresented groups, the lack of structured support continues to hinder career growth, confidence, and connection.
Flexibility is not a perk—it’s a performance strategy.
Workplace flexibility was one of the most important factors influencing whether respondents stayed in or left a role. Caregivers and early-stage professionals alike emphasized that the ability to work remotely, adjust schedules, and manage personal responsibilities directly impacts both wellbeing and job satisfaction.
Fair compensation continues to drive retention and trust.
Across industries and roles, respondents raised concerns about pay equity, transparency, and negotiating power. Women expressed a desire not only for competitive compensation, but for clearer paths to growth, recognition, and advancement that reflect the value they bring to their organizations.
